English Content Writer/Creator

We are seeking a talented and passionate English Content Writer/Creator/Editor to join our team at Time Out Bangkok. As part of our editorial team, you will have the exciting opportunity to be among the pioneers in Thailand, producing trend-setting and engaging content across a wide range of topics, with food and drink as a key pillar. Your deep passion for food, drinks, art, and urban lifestyle will perfectly complement the role and serve as a driving force for the Time Out brand in Thailand. 

Job description:

  • Manage and execute editorial operations and calendars under the direction of the Editor-in-Chief.
  • Brainstorm, research, pitch, and write trend-setting stories across a wide range of topics, with food and drink as a key pillar.
  • Collaborate with the design team and photographers to create visually compelling content that captivates the audience.
  • Work closely with the Editor-in-Chief and other key stakeholders to develop highly engaging video content in alignment with the video strategy.
  • Monitor and update the website homepage and section hub pages to ensure that the content is always fresh, relevant, and up to date, providing an exceptional user experience.
  • Conduct fact-checking, proofreading, and editing of copy as necessary to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to coordinate content campaigns, including advertorials, social media posts, custom guides, videos, and partnerships, ensuring seamless delivery that exceeds client expectations.
  • Consult with the commercial team to provide creative ideas and support pitches, while managing timelines, deliverables, and deadlines effectively.
  • Represent Time Out Bangkok at relevant industry and trade events, establishing connections and promoting the brand's presence. 

Qualifications:

  • Thai national
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as journalism, communications, English, or a relevant discipline)
  • Excellent or native command of English for proficient and impactful content writing and editing
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all written and edited materials
  • Knowledge and passion for the local food, drinks, art exhibitions, and urban lifestyle scene, allowing for engaging and relevant content creation
  • Strong interpersonal and socializing skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members, contributors, and external partners
  • A sense of fashion is an advantage, as it enhances the ability to represent the brand at functions and events

As the Social Media Content Creator, you will be responsible for producing engaging and creative short video content for our current and future social media channels. You will play a vital role in managing and maintaining the Time Out brand standard across all video content.

In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to manage our digital platforms, ensuring a seamless online presence for both Time Out Bangkok and NYLON Thailand. Collaborating with the editorial team and digital creators, you will contribute to the strategic publication of content across multiple platforms for optimal performance. 

Job description:

  • Manage and maintain all digital platforms of Time Out Bangkok and NYLON Thailand to ensure that content viewable by the audience are always fresh, relevant, and up to date.  The platforms include:

  • Collaborate with the editorial team and digital creators to schedule and publish content across relevant platforms for optimal performance
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of social media content to optimize engagement, reach, and audience growth

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends relevant to Time Out Bangkok's target audience
  • Work with the digital manager and editor-in-chief to develop and implement engaging social media strategies

Qualifications:

  • Thai national
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (digital media, marketing, information technology, e.g.)
  • Excellent command of Thai and proficient communication skills in English
  • Strong understanding of various social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices for content optimization
