A historic abandoned wharf has become a lively destination for food and entertainment for Brisbane. Eat Street Northshore is a feast for all the senses, with food vendors operating out of converted shipping containers. In more usual times you can head down to peruse the markets for snacking on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night. Start with fresh oysters or piping hot calamari and make your way through a feasting safari, sampling delights like Filipino street food and hot sweet potato chips before rounding it out with desserts like freshly pulled soft serve and piles of doughnuts. Find a spot under the canopy of twinkling fairy lights to enjoy your feast and relax to live entertainment.
Eat Street is a flat 250m walk from Northshore Hamilton Ferry Terminal. Entry is $5; groups of four adults just $15; and children 12 years and younger get in for free. It's also a pet-friendly venue within certain limitations – check the website.
