The part about Asperger’s Syndrome has dated poorly and might want to be revised. As someone both gifted and on the spectrum, I found this part ignorant and untrue: “My child has Asperger’s even though he can still be affectionate, imaginative, and funny when he’s at home.” If that’s true, then it isn’t Asperger’s.”” We now have more accounts of people’s first hand experiences with autism. We should pay more attention to these than thoughts from medical professionals that are on the outside looking in.

This page has literally the first to hit every trait to feeling and outcome of it all good to bad …

And I know my son too even more so than I am
I’d like to learn a bit more in order to help me understand my poor misunderstood self and to help my son and avoid binding him in a manner of conformity because of how i was raised and misdiagnosed

Thank you
