A very interesting article. 2e students need teacher and parent supports to hep them build self esteem and support with their academic instruction. Differentiating for this students is extremely important.

In reply to Rosario Lujan. IEP's are too general and often the students rely on teacher to ensure all the needs are met, but in high school students should start to advocate for themselves and ask questions or re-do's

Parents should provide information about their children to their schools so that teachers are aware of the gifts and limitations that a child might have. If we are aware of these abilities or limitations we as educators can plan for their needs and help them to succeed and be a part of the classroom community.
