I always joke to my husband how she’s like my MIL because she never stop talking. But I think it’s because how much I talk to her since she was a baby, I had the privilege to be a SAHM and was very hands on with her. Sometimes she’ll be so quiet because she’s busy flipping through every single book in her room. It’s just blows my mind how she talks like a grown up at this age, but then I think it’s too early to say she’s gifted but we’ll see.

My 13 month old son is fairly on age level for gross motor development, but has a vocabulary of 60 words that he uses spontaneously (not just repeating), including several simple sentences.

Theres nearly No articles out there to help determine whether your child is advanced with clear guidelines and if so – then practical how to ways support the continued advancements. Ive been looking everywhere for some support in this cuz Im struggling to find ways to keep up with my childs rapid development. He doesnt fit the stereotypical milestone markers for his age and has nearly always been way above his ages milestones.
For whats listed here, my child is definitely way more than 30% advanced at 26 months for the language development- hes speaking full sentences; using multiple verbs accurately, sequencing order, description of what he did/likes/and narrating his own activities or addressing issues to solve or displaying emotional intelligence when others are hurt.

He’s about 30% advanced for the fine motor – could be more but we dont leave writing and coloring items openly available as our environment doesnt support this freedom rn in the mishap of coloring in the wrong areas- though hes mostly pretty good about not doing so we just cant take the chance. So we try to do prewriting activities every now and then.

The gross motor skills hes also way ahead for those ones as well hitting all but the last one already- and all of the previous besides tricycle w pedals way earlier than listed- The only reason I can guess he hasnt hit the tricycle one sooner is we didnt really give him as many opportunities as we shouldve for it as time and energy is really a commodity here and its just me with him for most of the weeks as a SAHM.

So I really appreciate this list for evaluation being posted and the methods listed for how to support his growth. Id definitely appreciate if theres anymore ever available to list. He likes variety a lot and its hard to keep up.
