What to know before hitting up our malls on the biggest shopping day of the year, including opening times.
In the Sunshine State, we love a mall. South Florida touts over three dozen alone, from luxury shopping enclaves to bustling outlets. But of course, not all malls are created equal, and on the biggest holiday shopping of the year, one must strategize.Where can you find the best Black Friday deals in Miami? What time do the malls open on Black Friday? Can I wake up before the sunrise after eating at Miami's best Thanksgiving dinners?
You've gotta make a list and check it twice to know which stores will best satisfy all the people on your naughty and nice lists. And so, we've rounded up the best malls for Black Friday in Miami – and maybe a little more north for some bangin' luxury deals.

Aventura is giving you an extra two hours to shop in the AM, so grab a coffee at Ralph's and revel in the extra AM deals from over 300 stores. Plus, it's the best mall in which to get into the spirit of the season: pop into the holiday village near Bloomingdales for photos with Santa under the 3-stories-tall tree and peruse goods from local artisans and vendors.
Hours: 8am – 10pm
Brickell City Center may not be the first mall that comes to mind when thinking about Black Friday, but if you want a less frenzied and more curated experience, this is a great option. The mall (including their only department store Saks) opens two hours earlier, at 9am, and will offer plenty of holiday fun like photos with Santa and free holiday gift wrapping on level 2.
Hours: 9am – 10pm
Want the deals without the frenzy? One year, this writer hit up Lincoln Road for Black Friday and let me tell you, it was lovely. This open air strip has the same stores as any "mall" mall would – with many of the same discounts – except you get to shop al fresco as you enjoy the day. It even has an Iconic Macy's as an anchor, so you can still get those department store deals. Plus if you stick around at night, you' can dine at Smorgasburg and catch the Holiday Parade!

Alright we'll say it: Sawgrass Mills is South Florida's best outlet mall. You've got all the factory store standards: JCrew, Saks Off Fifth, Bloomingdales. But you've also luxury outlets thanks to The Colonnade Outlets, with brands like Fendi, Gucci, Bottega, Balenciaga – you get the drill. Feeling overwhelmed already? Neiman Marcus, CB2, Pottery Barn, Lilly Pulitzer: Shops at Merrick Park offers a great selection of curated luxury shops. Like Lincoln Road, you can enjoy a beautiful day as you pop in and out of stores at this three-storied mall, and even catch a movie when the day is done.
Hours: 9am – 9pm
The first mall to open its doors on Black Friday will be The Falls. They've got your mall standards – Bath & Body Works, Sephora, Pac Sun, Macy's, as well as a few boutiques and some great premium restaurant chains as of late.
Hours: 7:00AM - 9:00PM
Black Friday shopping at this outlet mall is an experience, and by that we mean it's a battle royale of deals, so come ready to check peeps off your list. It's also a battle royale to find parking, so maybe bring a suitcase to fill and Uber? With so many international travelers, Dolphin Mall touts a luggage check. Fill 'er up and stowe 'er away!
